Il centro di Tashkent

Tashkent (Russo: Ташкент) è la capitale dell'Uzbekistan. E' un'antica città sulla via della seta che correva dalla Cina all'Europa. Poco rimane del suo passato a causa di un terremoto che la distrusse nel 1966 e soprattutto dalla realizzazione in epoca sovietica di un piano urbanistico elaborato fin dal 1916. Il risultanto è che la città odierna assomiglia molto a una città dell'Europa dell'Est con edifici amministrativi, parchi e enormi condomini che rimandano agli anni del regime staliniano.
